聊台灣文學作品《亞細亞的孤兒》。In this new series, I’m going to talk about some Taiwanese literature works. Today’s book: Orphan of Asia by Wu Chuo-liu(1900-1976). He was born into Japanese-controlled Taiwan, when being Taiwanese was — complicated. He explores this muddled identity in the book. Interestingly, he wrote “Orphan of Asia” in Japanese. It was later translated to Chinese, and English.

哈囉，歡迎收聽Talk Taiwanese Mandarin，我是Abby。今天我們來聊聊台灣文學吧！以前有一位聽眾留言跟我說他想要聽台灣文學這個主題，這個已經是滿久之前的留言了，不過我都有把它記下來。然後我想了很久，要怎麼聊呢？畢竟這是一個很廣的領域。然後我想我就來聊聊一本書好了。

在開始介紹這本書之前，我們先來聊聊台灣文學是什麼。其實我以前很少讀台灣作家的書，大部分都是讀歐美和日本的翻譯文學比較多。應該很多台灣人都是這樣。那我以前的國文課本，有很大一部分是中國古文和中國作家的作品。也有台灣作家的作品，但是比例不太高，而且我大部分都忘記了。
