113. 必學台語詞 Common Taiwanese Words You Should Know

In this episode, I’ll teach you some must-know Taiwanese (aka Taiwanese Hokkien) words, especially some classic Taiwanese foods that no one says in Mandarin. (Textbooks don’t teach them either!) 分享一些實用的台語詞(課本不會教的!)

💡Foods that are said in Taiwanese instead of Mandarin (in Taiwan)

1. pa̍t-á(華:芭樂/台:菝仔):guava

2. kuah-pau(華:刈包/台:割包):Taiwanese Burger; Gua Bao

3. tshuah-ping(華:剉冰/台:礤冰):Shaved ice

4. uánn-kué(碗粿):Savoury Rice Pudding

💡Common Taiwanese words

1. pha:% (percent;日語pāsento)

2. sue(衰 ):(to have) bad luck

3. pháinn-sè(歹勢 ):Excuse me
